Trail of Tears plot
Annie Cook (Katey Sagal) is a chaotic woman and Cheryl Harris (Pam Dawber) is an orderly type who can organize and plan. As contradictory as they seem, they have something in common: their estranged husbands have disappeared with their children. The FBI can't help them, and then these completely different mothers who would never have known each other if they didn't share the same frustration and fate decide to go on a quest together. Initially, their quest leads to nothing until a local TV station helps them. They are always fishing behind the net, because the fathers have always left before their wives arrive. Still, the mothers are slowly but surely catching up.
